The FundX Stock Upgrader Fund (STOCX) closed on July 31, 2009 and was liquidated.
STOCX began in 2005 as a way to Upgrade a portfolio of individual common stocks in the same way we do with mutual funds. It allowed us to avoid trading restrictions, liquidity concerns and the second layer of expenses incurred by investing in mutual funds.
But given the current investment climate, we felt it was unlikely that STOCX would experience any meaningful growth in the near future, and we believe our time is better spent by focusing on what we believe we’ve historically done best: investing in noload funds and exchange traded funds (ETFs).
